Conceived and structured to develop creativity in young secondary-aged musicians within Quebec Ministry of Education guidelines and objectives.
Offered to music classes at all secondary levels and elementary, Louis Babin’s workshops are known for their balanced mix of theory and playful exercises, supported by video presentations when appropriate. All workshops are oriented toward guiding young musicians in the creation of their own music.
When it complies with the school music program, students perform their works in concert settings. If required, Louis can also fill the role of orchestra leader.
Workshop format
Built around three sessions, workshops focusses on one of the following subjects:
- Motifs for constructing melodies
- Chord progression
- Rhythm
- Harmonisation of a melody
